All settings are saved except formats. For example, if I choose Low Definition WebM I get High Definition MP4 when I view another video.
David Englund - 2014-03-05, 06:20
Now I got it, thank you! Works like a charm but the UI is a bit confusing as the first thing you focus on is the list to the left. I\'m sure you can optimize the UI a bit. Thanks for the help. Great program too.
sebaro - 2014-03-05, 09:35
Do you have any suggestions?
David Englund - 2014-03-06, 08:17
I suggest that you remove the format option in the right pane and use the format option in the left pane to save it instead. What do you think about that?
sebaro - 2014-03-06, 10:48
I've added the definition and container buttons because I want to see the options. The video menu will not show them because sometimes the video doesn't have the definition or the container I want.
David Englund - 2014-03-06, 14:55
Is that documentet or at least code commented? You can also add HTML caption to the button to make this clear.
sebaro - 2014-03-06, 20:56
What do you mean by documented/commented? For the plug-ins option I used a menu and not a button because there are many choices.
David Englund - 2014-03-07, 15:07
Can you at least move the format option in the right top pane to left next to the format list?
sebaro - 2014-03-07, 17:13
I tried but I don't like how it looks. You can switch the buttons yourself, they are in createMyPlayer function.

There are two different KMPlayer applications, the one I'm talking about is the KDE application: http://kde.org/applications/multimedia/kmplayer. On the video I use Windows Media Player for video playback.
Tomasz - 2014-03-07, 18:01
So maybe in the feature You can make for kmplayer for windows.
sebaro - 2014-03-07, 20:01
I don't think kmplayer has a browser plug-in. The script embeds the video and the browser uses a video plug-in to play it. You can use the "Get" button and then "Open" to play the video with kmplayer.

Hello. Can you please also integrate Swedens SVT Play videos? - svtplay.se
David Englund - 2014-03-06, 08:25
It's Swedens leading non-commercial public TV channel.

svtget (svtget.se) and svtplaydump (https://github.com/mikaelfrykholm/svtplaydump) can download them.
sebaro - 2014-03-06, 21:23
I can get HLS/M3U8 playlists but HTML5 won't play them. You'll have to use VLC, GMP, QuickTime (I don't know what platform are you on).
David Englund - 2014-03-07, 13:31
Yes, you can choose to use VLC and other media players instead of HTML5 with ViewTube on youtube.com. Why not make possible for other sites that are supported by ViewTube?
sebaro - 2014-03-07, 14:12
I'm just saying that I'll add the site but you have to use VLC or other plug-ins that support HLS/M3U8.
sebaro - 2014-03-07, 17:13
I've added the site here: http://isebaro.com/viewtube/include/files/viewtubeplus.user.js.

Since yesterday YouTube is now defaulting/enforcing (redirecting?) HTTPS when watching video for me. This gives the error "The video should be loading. If it doesn't load, make sure a video plugin is installed. If you think it's a script issue, please report it here." HTTPS never worked with ViewTube for me, it's just a problem now because I can't seem to use YouTube without HTTPS anymore. I use HD (720p) mp4 as my ViewTube settings.
sebaro - 2014-03-08, 09:39
I don't see any issues here with either HTTP or HTTPS. There was a problem with some browsers when HTTPS pages didn't have HTTPS video links. But now they have. What browser and video plug-in do you use?
n2k3 - 2014-03-08, 17:02
I use Firefox 27.0.1 with MP4 selected as source/plugin, after fiddling around with some of the selections I can watch video's when HTML5 is selected, all the others don't work. But I guess this is resolved, because I can use ViewTube again :)
sebaro - 2014-03-08, 17:59
The second menu is for video plug-ins. If you select "MP4", the browser will use the plug-in associated with "MP4" if it finds one.
n2k3 - 2014-03-08, 20:08
Hmm weird, I guess it uses my QT Lite v4.1.0 plugin for playing mp4's, but it doesn't work with HTTPS. Not sure why that never worked though. Thanks for the help and information, I'll continue to enjoy this script!
